In the beginning of the 2021, we are organising the Alps Adria Academy Conference on Dementia on the topic of New technologies, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments (medication and polypharmacy) in dementia: Community based integrated care, management and occupational therapy for dementia through cognitive-, arts-, music-, dance movement-, physical activity- and motor memory stimulation in experiencing COVID-19 physical distancing times. It is a two-days conference, February 18th  until February 19th, 2021. See you in the beautiful regions along the Mura river.

Important Message Regarding the 2021 Conference

We take seriously our responsibility to serve the public good, to consider the health and well-being of our participants, and to protect the communities we work with and in. Simultaneously, we are committed to enabling researchers, professionals and volunteers in dementia to be productive and collaborative during this challenging time. In this context, we plan to continue with the second Alps Adria Academy Conference on Dementia as a hybrid ("In-Person" and "Virtual") event. You will soon be able to register also as a “Virtual” delegate. But please note: you will not receive the same benefits as an “In-Person” registration.

The Conference Timeline

Abstract proposal submission opens on Monday, June 1st. Abstract submission ends on Friday, August 14th. Accepted Abstracts will be notified at the latest by Friday, September 11th. The Early Bird registration ends on Friday, September 25th. Presenters are expected to register at the latest by Friday, October 30th. The last cancellation day is Monday, November 30th. :: :: :: At the Problem Conference: About Dementia, which took place earlier this year, the introductory address was delivered by Peter Beznec, Director of the Center for Health and Development Murska Sobota. Milica Gregorič Kramberger, Head of the Center for Cognitive Disorders at the Neurological Clinic in Ljubljana, prepared a lecture entitled "Is this dementia already?". In the closing lecture of the conference, Maria Fellner, Head of the Business Development at the Graz Joanneum Research Institute who is now CEO of the CEO, digitAAL Life, presented the method of multimodal activation. AAA Conference on Dementia is held to the memory of the former volleyball player and police officer - Janko Rajnar as the accompanying programme of the Janko's Memorial - Big International Charity Volleyball Tournament. The Alps Adria Academy Conference on Dementia will be held for the second time in the regions along the Mura and Drava Rivers that together with the Danube River form one of the great wetlands of the world – the Amazon of Europe.
